The one thing I noticed with Pear Deck vs Nearpod that would make me use Pear Deck sometimes over Nearpod is the ability to toggle back and forth between student and teacher paced.

I completely agree! I like nearpod more; however I now have to make two per class instead of setting one to “student paced” at the end of the period for students that were absent and/or those who missed part of instruction for various reasons.

Nearpod Team: Premium plus is school/district license...that is not an option for a lot of us. This is the problem! Can you make it useful with Gold or Platinum for VA teachers to use when the whole school is not an option.

It would be great if there was a way to switch from Live lesson to Student paced in the middle of a lesson. I can do this with Pear Deck, but can't find it in Nearpod. It is really helpful as sometimes it allows me to start a lesson together with everyone to build momentum and create a focus, and then allow everyone to work at their own pace. Very helpful, especially when there are longer reading tasks involved.

For any student who falls behind or is absent, it is imperative that the teacher be able to switch to student-driven after the class is over. If there is a way to do this, please, let me know. I just upgraded the account to Gold, and without that feature the program is useless to me. :(

It would be such an advantage for a teacher to be able to toggle between live instruction and student-paced modes within a Nearpod "code". There are times during a lesson that we must bring students back together to discuss, and there are times when it is appropriate for them to work independently. PLEASE PLEASE add this feature.
