Our courses are ongoing, meaning we don't really have a summer "down time." At any point throughout the year, students might be at the beginning, middle, or end of a course. This means we never close out our courses in our LMS; they are open on a continual basis and students just get added and dropped as they start and finish.
Having due dates means that I must, every summer, go in and re-link all of my Nearpods. This is a huge undertaking. I have hundreds of Nearpods at this point across all of my classes. If there were no expiration date on Nearpods, this problem would be solved. Benjamin, this is why even 365 days is insufficient for my context.

Once you've launched the self paced lesson, click on the blue 29 days remainging to change it up to 365 days in the future.

I go in and manually put a due date for each student-paced lesson. We are an online asynchronous school and students are all at different places in the coursework and continually enrolling. There should be a "no due date" option for student-paced lessons.

Longer Time on Student Paced Lessons

It would be nice when using Nearpod with an LMS like Canvas if the Nearpod lessons would not expire via an external tool. Our district uses Standard Based grading and students have unlimited time to complete work. The 15 or 30 day expiration is creating more work for teachers in our district who utilize both Nearpod and Canvas. Is there a way to fix this issue?
