It would be great if reports could be sorted by student names. This would make giving students feedback and assessments more time efficient.

Thank you for your feedback! We are excited to share that we have launched an update to reports for sorting by first and now LAST name.
Now when you open reports, you will see all students sorted by last name. This can be switched back to first name by clicking on the new filter button.

I completely agree. This seems like a huge oversight that really hinders using the reports page. They have made great changes to how Nearpod is integrated through Canvas, but not having names separated into sortable columns (even in an exported file) is a big miss.

The inability for teachers to manipulate, reorder, or put "Student names" into a useful format is non existent. This should be a basic functionality of any educational program. My district does not allow full student names, only abbreviated email lists, which some random Nearpod code decides must be put into "alphabetical disorder" by listing their first names initial as the Last name and then the 3 letter last name initials are treated as first names! It is a receipt for disaster since there is no way to know which students belongs to the work!
That, there is no way in "Nearpod" to reset or reorder this a fundamental lack of functionality that clearly shows the lack of value Neapod places on input from actual in class educators to inform features within this programs formulation. This Nearpod defect makes every use of this program an exercise in frustration. It inevitably results in multiple grading errors for any "unlucky" student(s) official record. If I had known of this Nearpod defect I would not have encouraged and pushed my district to buy a site license for my school Now that the damage is done, I will do everything I can to make sure we are the last school in this district to purchase this defective and critically limited program. I will say that unless this is addressed/fixed post haste recommending Nearpod to anyone, anywhere, anytime, will be soon forgotten, and replaced with warnings and admonitions to do under no circumstances purchase or engage with this company ever again. There is a very competitive educational market and lot of other good systems out there, while Nearpod does bring some compelling features, its lack of basic functionality cripples it's usability and value in the actual classroom (Note: corporate executives, that is where education actually takes place). Do it and quick, this is the last time I will waste my time with your company.

Sorting activity reports by submission timestamp would also be helpful. My students turn things in late, so any type of report sorting would make entering grades more efficient.
